The Balkan Crown

From the throne of the Victorian era to the shadows of the Iron Curtain, this is an epic history of the Kingdom of Romania spanning a century.

Edler, a modern man born into the body of the Romanian Crown Prince, uses his vision of the future to develop the oil industry, strengthen the military, and push through reforms. Amid the turbulent waves of two world wars, he makes the right bets and transforms a small Balkan nation into a regional power that commands the world's attention.

But the true test begins only after he abdicates. His son, Mihai I, struggles to protect his father's legacy beneath the Iron Curtain. Faced with Soviet pressure and the ambitions of powerful ministers, he eventually loses the crown. Yet the Hohenzollern family never gives up its homeland. Through decades of exile, they rally the spirit of their nation abroad. When the world is swept by upheaval, they return and, though uncrowned, rebuild the backbone of their country.

This is more than a royal family's legend. It is an immortal epic about a people striving to survive, grow strong, and find themselves amid the upheavals of a century of modern history. How can a family that lost its crown achieve eternity in another way? The answer lies on the land they love.
