Upgrading the Mechanical Junk of the Old Era

In an age when human civilization has crumbled into ruins, survivors huddle beneath colossal steel cities, surviving by scavenging and repurposing mechanical junk from the old world. Gu Weining, a scavenger from the lowest levels, obtains a mysterious “Evolution Black Box” in an accident. The box can analyze the structure of any machine and map out astonishing evolutionary paths. Starting with a battered scavenging mech called the Scavenger, Gu Weining embarks on a path of mechanical evolution no one else can match. He reinforces its armor, modifies its engine, equips it with a planet-destroying cannon, and fuses it with biological tissue... While others are still fighting tooth and nail over a single piece of C-grade alloy, his mech is racing toward the creations of a godlike civilization. Jealous rivals, greedy conglomerates, watchful military forces, and unknown threats from the depths of the star sea will all become stepping stones on his path of evolution. Gu Weining has only one goal: to pilot his one-of-a-kind mech, tear through the darkness of this wasteland age, and see what lies beyond the sky.
