Echoes of the Abyss: Xiao Mingyuan

Xiao Mingyuan, a former crisis negotiator, survives an outbreak of parasitic fungi that turn people into “Echoers.” These monsters endlessly repeat the last actions they performed in life. Driven by one goal, he sets out to find his younger sister, who is attending university in another city. Using the negotiation skills he once relied on to manipulate survivors and their surroundings, Xiao Mingyuan makes his way through a dangerous world where the greatest threats are not just the infected, but also the desperate, distrustful remnants of humanity. The journey forces him to confront the dark truth behind the outbreak and question whether the sister he remembers is still human.
