Gene Rift: Lin Shen

In 2045, a gene-editing virus known as “Pandora” suddenly breaks out. Those infected rapidly mutate into flesh-devouring “fission bodies.” Lin Shen becomes a target of various factions after having once come into contact with the virus's original sample. While fleeing, he discovers that the virus is actually an experiment gone out of control, created by humanity in an attempt to break through the limits of human lifespan. As he investigates further, the tangled interests linking research conglomerates, the military, and survivor groups gradually come to light. Before the virus can completely rewrite the human gene pool, Lin Shen must find the “genetic fracture” capable of destroying it.
