The Multilayered City of New Arcadia

In 2350, in the layered metropolis of New Arcadia, humanity is strictly divided by genes and wealth. Gu Jiyuan is a scrap mechanic scraping by in the lowest district, the Downcity. One day, he accidentally activates a mysterious cube, the Primordial Mechanical Core, in a high-tech junkyard. The core fuses with his neural interface, granting him the ability to see the upgrade path of any machine and strengthen it indefinitely, provided he has enough materials. From rusty cleaning robots to discarded security drones, and even giant mechs capable of destroying the city in the future, every machine is under his control. As his creations grow ever stronger, they attract the attention of megacorporations, gangs, and the rulers lurking in the city's shadows. Gu Jiyuan must use his godlike mechanical talent to carve out his own legendary path from the dark depths of the Downcity.
