My Ex Is Now a Director, and He's Making My Knees Weak with Sweet Talk

Three years ago, Lu Zhi spoiled Su Xiaoxing like a princess. Her milk tea had to have just 30 percent sugar and no ice; when she was on her period, he made sure she had hand warmers and brown sugar ginger tea. He even held her hand whenever they walked, afraid she might fall. Who could have guessed that, just when they were deeply in love, he would suddenly break up with her, saying he didn’t want to hold her back, then disappear without a trace? Su Xiaoxing cried until she was dehydrated and swore off love for good. She focused entirely on making money and building her career, transforming herself from a hopeless romantic into a confident career woman. Three years later, she lands a job at Yuncheng’s top-tier company, Xingtu Technology, thanks to her outstanding abilities. She expects to start a new chapter in her life, only to be stunned on her first day: her direct supervisor is none other than her ex, Lu Zhi! The clingy man who once adored her is now an aloof, restrained department director, but he can’t hide how much he cares for her. He slips her hot coffee during meetings, quietly brings her favorite sweet-and-sour pork ribs when she works late, stands up for her the moment anyone gives her a hard time, and even uses “I’m going that way anyway” as an excuse to drive her home from business trips. Su Xiaoxing acts tough, telling him, “Please keep your distance, Director Lu,” but inside she’s so giddy her toes are practically carving out Disneyland inside her high heels. Gradually, she discovers that their breakup was all a misunderstanding, and that the tight-lipped director has already made room for her in the rest of his life. When an aloof director turns clingy and an ex becomes her current love, this sweet tale of a couple supporting each other at work and a man winning back his love is sugar-sweet!
