My Romance Script Can't Stay Hidden

Su Xiaoxing, a little-known actress with barely a line to her name, takes on a major “contract romance” deal with top-tier star Lu Jingchen by a twist of fate, hoping to raise enough money for her grandmother's surgery. She has to pretend to be his girlfriend and help him fend off crazed sasaeng fans and an arranged marriage forced on him by powerful investors. One is a nobody in the entertainment industry with painfully awkward acting skills but the luck of a living lucky charm; the other is a cold, sharp-tongued national heartthrob who secretly longs for love. From the start, their romance is all an act, and their everyday life is one hilarious disaster after another: they force themselves to play the happy couple in public, only to be photographed looking “like a couple in name only,” while in private they bicker and prank each other nonstop. Armed with her “make friends with everyone” survival strategy and occasional bursts of acting talent, Su Xiaoxing rises through the entertainment industry, going from background extra to leading lady. Meanwhile, amid all the chaos, Lu Jingchen is touched by her optimism and resilience, gradually dropping his disguise and becoming a devoted husband. As their contract nears its end, their pretend romance turns real, but they face one crisis after another: revenge from sasaeng fans, sabotage by rivals, and resistance from their families. They must protect their love under the spotlight while staying true to themselves in the fame-and-fortune-driven entertainment industry. In the end, the “contract couple” become a match made in heaven, and Su Xiaoxing rises to become an award-winning actress, as the two write a sweet and inspiring love story in show business.
