Heartbeat Overload: When a Socially Anxious Person Meets a Top-Tier Star

Su Xiaoxing, an interior designer so socially anxious she rehearses what to say three times before going out to buy milk tea, gets dragged into an emergency PR crisis involving a top-tier star of a CEO: Lu Shiyan, heir to the Lu Group. To stop the paparazzi from stirring up rumors about him, her best friend shoves her in front of the cameras and announces that she’s been the CEO’s secret wife for three years. One of them is so afraid of people she wants to vanish on the spot; the other is so icy he could freeze the air, yet has star power to spare. Their contract marriage, held together entirely by acting, goes wrong from day one. While avoiding Lu Shiyan, Su Xiaoxing also has to deal with his family of drama queens, jealous rivals waiting to pounce, and the entire internet watching their every move under a microscope. Meanwhile, as Lu Shiyan complains that his “contract wife is too timid,” he gradually falls for the warmth in her designs, her adorably awkward manner with strangers, and her unexpected resilience when it matters most. When social anxiety meets a top-tier star, and a contract becomes entangled with genuine feelings, can they turn “fake spouses” into true partners under the gaze of the entire internet’s gossip-hungry crowd?
