My Hearty Life in Northeast China

Su Wan was once a technical specialist at the Red Star Slaughterhouse and Meat Processing Plant, specializing in preparing and braising pork and lamb kidneys. Three months after her wedding, her husband died in an accident at the plant while on duty, leaving her a “young widow” in the workers’ residential compound. She looks gentle and refined, but is actually sharp-tongued and quick-witted. She has inherited secret recipes for braised kidneys and northeastern-style soy-braised meat, and she keeps both her husband’s compensation money and her exclusive braised-food recipes hidden away. They have made her a target for everyone in the compound.
