Phone Videos Connect Past and Present: The Sky Screen Stuns the World

An ordinary man, Xu Chen, accidentally obtains a mysterious phone that can connect to the ancient world, opening the door to fantastical interactions spanning the Qin, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties and modern society. When the phone screen first displays the beacon fires of the Qin Dynasty and the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty, Xu Chen never imagines that this little device will become a fulcrum capable of shifting time and space. He uses modern knowledge to help the Qin improve irrigation and the Tang fight epidemics, but also accidentally sets off ripples through time. A mysterious force awakens in response to his excessive interference, rifts in time and space appear with increasing frequency, and cultural clashes and tangled interests between different dynasties follow one after another. From the modernization of the military to the establishment of a cross-temporal legal system, from the first steps into space exploration to the spread of agricultural technology, Xu Chen joins hands with talented figures from seven realms, including Li Si, Su Wan, and Shen Kuo, to struggle forward amid technology and tradition, intervention and balance, conflict and integration. They tackle information overload and climate change, witness the birth of cross-temporal marriages, and explore the connection between technology and “magic.” Through crisis after crisis, they come to understand that what truly connects the past and present has never been a phone, but humanity’s shared pursuit of peace, civilization, and a better world. When the truth behind the mysterious force is revealed, when Xu Chen prepares to say goodbye, and when the dynasties form a new balance across time and space, the phone’s mission gradually comes to an end. What it leaves behind is a world where many cultures coexist: Qin warriors can operate energy weapons, Tang healers can diagnose patients with modern instruments, and children in the present grow up reading the poetry of the ancients. The cross-temporal exhibition continues, the temporal willow on the banks of the Yellow River grows ever stronger, and the endless possibilities of the future slowly unfold in the light where past and present meet.
