I'm a Comedic NPC Across the Myriad Worlds

Lin Xiaoxia, a socially anxious office worker, never imagined that simply forgetting her lines while cosplaying a “Republic-era spy” at a beginner's murder-mystery game would get her bound to a mysterious System as the “Plot Lubricant of the Myriad Heavens.” From then on, she's forced to transmigrate into classic anime worlds like Gintama, Detective Conan, and Demon Slayer, playing roles like a Yorozuya odd-job assistant, an aide to Mouri, and a Demon Slayer Corps quartermaster... NPCs so ridiculous they sound made up.

The System's demands are absurd: don't save the world. Make Gintoki grin and show his canines, make Mouri crack a case while grumbling, “This case is so stupid,” and get Tanjiro to flash a smile between training sessions... Fail, and she'll have to listen to sound effects from “The Greatest Collection of Baffling Human Behavior.” Succeed, and she'll earn “world fragments.” Even worse, the original plot of each world must stay on track: she can't steal Gintoki's sweets, derail Conan's cases, or keep Tanjiro from slaying demons.

Clutching a clue card in the pocket of her faded hoodie, Lin Xiaoxia grits her teeth and gets to work. She accidentally gives Kagura's vinegar kelp to Sadaharu, then laughs so hard she slaps the table as the cat and dog fight over food. She analyzes Mouri's alibi using “delivery order notes,” earning a scolding: “That makes no sense, but it works.” She secretly makes Nezuko a scrapbook and hears Tanjiro softly say, “Thank you”...

Now the socially anxious woman once dubbed the “buzzkill queen” by murder-mystery players stands before a new portal, wearing a baseball cap printed with “Plot Lubricant.” Which world awaits her next, ready to be healed and warmed by her goofy antics?

“I don't save the world. I'm just here to bring a little more laughter to every corner.”
