The Barista Is Still Trying to Solve Cases Today

“Ding! Today’s task: use a caramel macchiato to make Uncle Mouri show his genuine smile.”

Lin Xiaoman stared at the electronic prompt flashing on the cafe’s ordering screen, her hand trembling slightly as she held the latte art stylus. Three days ago, she had been a corporate drone and a barista. After a car accident, she transmigrated into the world of Detective Conan and bound herself to the Conan-Logic Correction System. Now she was a “special staff member” at the Warm Light Cafe in Beika Town. She had to hand Ayumi a hot cocoa, help Professor Agasa fix the latte art machine, and even use coffee stains to make prints of shoe marks when the Junior Detective League found a bloodstained backpack.

Socially awkward but stubborn, she managed to knock over cups and saucers three times while serving coffee to Kudo Shinichi, yet insisted, “It’s a new signature shaken drink.” She was a “secret regular” of Amuro Toru, and the perfect latte artist at Café Poirot always said her chibi Conan drawings were “adorably ugly.” Haibara Ai would complain that her latte art “looks like abstract painting,” then secretly slip a coffee brownie into her apron pocket.

Then one day, the System suddenly issued a “low energy” warning. It turned out she was a “history correction app” developed in 2077 by a Conan fan, and she needed to repair timeline glitches through “everyday kindness.” This time, she had to stop a mysterious transaction by the Black Organization, help Mouri Kogoro rediscover what it meant to be a “great detective,” and, even more importantly... try telling the ever-present Edogawa Conan, “I saved you some warm milk again today.”
