He Hides His Memories, She Draws Down the Starlight

In an old alley in Xingyuan City, where fine starlight drifts through the air year-round, the male lead, Lin Yan, runs the family’s Starfall Curio Shop. The shop looks ordinary, but it holds a secret: to Lin Yan, old photo albums covered in dust, faded hair ribbons, and rusty fountain pens can all “reveal their memories.” An old photo album from 1990 flips through its pages with a rustle, softly telling how its owner took a picture with their lover beneath a cherry tree, never to see them again. A knitted headband from 2008 keeps murmuring, “The little girl gave me to her mother in the hospital and said wearing me would help her get better faster.” Nobody believes he can “sense the memories of old objects,” so the shop is so quiet that Auntie Wang from the dessert shop next door even teases him: “Xiao Lin, if no one comes to your shop soon, you’ll have to start selling sweet soup just to get by.”

The heroine, Xing Mian, comes from the Star Memory Realm. She is a Star Memory Restorer who can manipulate “Star Memory Threads.” When a deluge of “Dark Memory Mist” began devouring the memories of the realm’s inhabitants, she pursued fragments of the mist and fell into Xingyuan City. The “memory energy” of the old objects in the Starfall Curio Shop can actually stabilize her Star Memory Threads. One starlit night, Xing Mian clutched half of a glowing “Star Memory Stone” and rushed into the shop to hide from the “Dark Memory Hunters.” Lin Yan was just about to complain, “Even if you’re cosplaying, don’t knock over my blue-and-white porcelain vase,” when the Star Memory Threads at her fingertips made a dusty old photo album on the counter spring open. Images appeared on its pages, showing its owner taking a picture beneath a cherry tree all those years ago.
