A Garbage Mountain with Off-the-Charts Heavy Metal Levels

In the futuristic city of Xinhai, where social classes are rigidly entrenched and technology monopolized, impoverished scavenger Lin Yuanzhou risks his life every day in mountains of garbage contaminated with radiation and heavy metals, trying to scrape together the exorbitant medical expenses for his younger sister. In an accident, a mysterious fragment of a “source core” pierces his body, giving him the bizarre ability to deeply connect with machines and awaken their “souls”: “mechanical empathy.” From a cleaning robot that loves to act cute, to a combat mech cobbled together from scrap metal, and then a super AI controlling the entire city, a group of utterly loyal mechanical “companions” begins to gather around Lin Yuanzhou. The gangsters who once bullied him, the powerful who turned a blind eye to him, and the megacorporations that treated him like an insect will all learn what true fear is when faced with this torrent of steel and electricity. This is the thrilling story of an ordinary man from the bottom rung of society who awakens mechanical gods one step at a time and ultimately becomes the master of his age.
