The Lies of Veridian

In Veridian, a colossal city erased from memory, the sky is false, history is a lie, and even the life-sustaining energy known as Aether flows with poison.

Kyle, a scavenger from the lower levels, is forced onto a rebellious path leading to the heart of the city in order to save his sister, who has contracted the mysterious Wasting Sickness. He joins the resistance group known as the Gearheart, and, guided by a reclusive mentor, awakens the forbidden power to control Aether.

With every step deeper into the city, another layer of the world's truth is stripped away. When he finally reaches the city's summit and faces Veridian's darkest secret and its most powerful guardian, he must choose: become a revolutionary who destroys everything, or embrace the cruel truth and become a savior?

Can one person's struggle pry open a window in this crumbling steel cage, letting a sliver of true starlight shine through?
