The Godforsaken Spirit Tamer

In a world where the gods grant power and contracts reign supreme, Elarin is born unable to form a pact with any orthodox god or holy spirit. Branded “Godforsaken,” she becomes a disgrace to her family and a laughingstock to the world. After she is exiled, she discovers in her despair that she does have a gift: her soul can resonate only with forbidden beings imprisoned by the gods and forgotten by humanity. The heroine does not receive a golden finger from the heavens. Instead, through her unique nature and unbreakable will, she forms equal contracts with one powerful, ancient “Forbidden Spirit” after another. From a good-for-nothing anyone can bully, she rises step by step into a heretical monarch who shakes the rule of the gods. Along the way, she becomes fatefully entangled with Kaelan, the holy knight commander ordered to hunt her down. They go from sworn enemies to confidants, and ultimately to the only beloved who will overturn the entire false divine realm and remain by her side for life.
