City of Heart Elements

In the future city of Ya-G City, where “happiness” is the sole source of energy, every moment of joy fuels the gears of society, while sadness, anger, and other negative emotions are toxic waste that must be eliminated.

Lin Jiu is the city’s leading “emotional element tuner.” With cold rationality, he safeguards the System’s flawless operation, until an “emotional drought” that engulfs the entire city sends him plunging into the abyss, turning him from guardian of order into its most wanted criminal.

To clear his name, he is forced to join forces with K, a mysterious woman from the city’s dark underbelly. As they gradually uncover the truth, they discover that a terrifying plan is quietly underway: one designed to erase all individual emotions and create “perfect” slaves. His sealed memories turn out to be the cruelest footnote to this plan.

As the false paradise is about to descend into eternal silence, he must choose: continue eradicating the emotions that bring pain, or embrace the sadness and anger buried deep within him, using this cursed power to awaken a sleeping world?

Yet no one knows that as the abyss of human nature is reopened, an ancient being imprisoned beneath the city has also begun to stir, sending out its first echo.
