The Confucian Sage Enters the World: I Treat All Under Heaven as a Chessboard

The realm descends into chaos, and the Mandate of Heaven manifests. Without warning, the whole world becomes a real-life strategy game called The Game of All Under Heaven. The common people become soldiers, warlords become players, and everyone gains a game-like character panel, forced to struggle for survival under unforgiving rules.

Gu Changce is an impoverished scholar obsessed with studying The Game of All Under Heaven, a lost ancient text. The world mocks him as a bookish layabout. But the moment the world turns into a game, the knowledge everyone dismissed as useless becomes his only weapon, and his greatest one: hidden loopholes in the rules, the locations of resource nodes, recruitment conditions for special troops, and the triggers for historical events.

With no System and no golden finger, Gu Changce relies on his extraordinary understanding of the game and advances one careful step at a time. Combining human nature, the art of war, strategy, and the rules of the game, he transforms a barren county on the verge of starvation into the greatest city in the realm. He recruits famed generals, wins the hearts of beauties, battles rival lords, and withstands natural disasters. While the other players are still figuring out the rules, he is already using them to lay plans for the entire realm. While the warlords congratulate themselves on a single victory, he has already made a move a hundred steps ahead. This is the story of a strategist who turns the world into a game board and all living beings into pieces, and ultimately claims the realm for himself.
