Seven Days to the Rhine, 1990

[Alternate-history war + ensemble cast] Summer, 1990. At a pivotal fork in the road, the train of history switched to a different track. The red bear that had made the world tremble for half a century did not stumble and fall amid the storm. Instead, it bared its sharpest claws. A supreme directive from the East set in motion the largest, most sophisticated war machine in human history. From the icy breakers of the Baltic Sea to the towering snowlines of the Alps, an iron tide amassed over forty years surged toward the heart of Europe. Armored clashes on the North German Plain, bloody battles of attrition at the Fulda Gap, deadly ambushes in the Bavarian highlands... Countless lives intertwined amid flames and smoke. This is no heroic epic about one man, but the ultimate showdown between two worlds and two great blocs, with everything at stake. As the strains of the “Warsaw March” echo across the skies of the West, and the eyes of the entire world turn to the last line of defense, the Rhine... The Western world has only seven days left.
