The Surface Is Covered in Dust

In the year 2242, the Earth's surface was covered in "dust," and humanity huddled in isolated underground shelters, struggling to survive. Gu Chuan, a maintenance worker in the lower levels of Shelter 79, accidentally activated a "Shelter Upgrade System" from a superior civilization. While the shelter's upper ranks were still arguing over a rusty water pipe, Gu Chuan had already quietly unlocked the technology tree for a fusion reactor. While other shelters were still fighting to survive, Shelter 79 was racing toward becoming a super-fortress capable of returning to the stars. This is the story of an ordinary man from the bottom, who single-handedly leads all of human civilization out of despair and restores its former glory.
