Siheyuan: The Whole Yard of Beasts Is on Its Knees

Yan Hushan, a modern-day food-delivery grind king, gets electrocuted one day and wakes up as Yan Bushan, the younger brother of the miserly Yan Laokou, a high school graduate in 1951!

The Korean War breaks out? He turns around and signs up. On the battlefield, an inferior jade pendant activates the “Yuelu Cave Heaven,” and the Star-Tempering Body Refinement Art bolsters him. He becomes the enemy’s nightmare, the “Cold-Faced King of Hell”!

? The Jia family tries to mooch off him and take his home? Yan Shan counters with a one-two punch of “high-interest loans” and “public opinion management,” leaving them worse off than before. The whole courtyard learns that they’re “ungrateful deadbeats who don’t repay their debts.”

He improves his older brother and sister-in-law’s lives, helps the younger generation succeed, and joins forces with Su Qingtang, a brilliant scholar who has returned from abroad. His career and love life both flourish.

When the era of reform and opening up begins, he decisively jumps into business. Drawing on his spatial resources and knowledge of the future, he extends his commercial reach across the globe, riding the wave of Japan’s economic bubble and finding treasures amid the ruins of the Soviet Union.

While the beasts of the courtyard are still fighting over who gets to use the toilet,
