The Laid-Back Warehouse Clerk's Heavenly-Fairy Wife Is Always Afraid He'll Run Away

Lin Fan is reborn in 2008 with memories of his past life and maxed-out crafting skills, but all he wants is to be a carefree slacker with financial freedom. He buys a courtyard house outside Beijing and spends his days fishing, growing vegetables, making figurines, and tinkering with “useless” inventions, perfectly living by the “lie flat” philosophy.

A contract he forgot about for two years blows him out of his comfort zone: he becomes the “personal storage manager” for the beloved national sweetheart Liu Qianqian.

He plans to do the bare minimum, but when he sees the cool, aloof look in Liu Qianqian’s eyes, occasionally betraying her exhaustion, Lin Fan’s laziness and protectiveness start fighting each other. Before long, things spiral out of control:

· An exorbitantly expensive dress gets damaged by accident? Lin Fan makes a few quick modifications, stunning everyone. The brand’s representatives chase after him, asking which master created it.

· An antique prop is damaged on set, bringing filming to a halt? Lin Fan stays up all night and makes a replacement so convincing the director nearly drops to his knees and begs to become his apprentice.

· Paparazzi are everywhere, and her privacy is compromised? Lin Fan fires back with a tracking program and digs up everything about them.

Liu Qianqian gradually realizes that her manager, who loves wearing old-man undershirts, might lie down on the spot at any moment, and says infuriating things but always solves the problem, is apparently a “hidden gem” who can do anything. What makes her heart flutter even more is that around him, she doesn’t have to be the “national goddess.” She can just be Liu Qianqian, a little absent-minded and fond of cute things.

Her mother, Liu Xiaoli, and godfather, Chen Jingfei, are constantly watching them, while Lin Fan can only wail, “I just want to quietly be a lazy fish and earn a little salary on the side. Why is that so hard?!”

A lighthearted story that begins in a warehouse, full of chaotic mishaps, crafting showcases, a fisherman’s stubborn passion, and sweet everyday romance…
