A Smile Follows the Song

At the Battle of Pingling, the brilliant female general Fu Yixiao shot down Feng Suige, the eldest prince of Susha, with a single arrow, turning the tide of battle through her own efforts. But before the glory of victory had even faded, she was ambushed by a hidden arrow and plunged off a cliff. By a medicinal spring, she unexpectedly encountered Feng Suige, who was gravely wounded. Fu Yixiao had lost her memory, and Feng Suige was badly injured. As two wary beasts circled one another, Feng Suige managed to get the upper hand and take her back to Susha. It turned out he had long suspected that someone in Susha was secretly aiding the enemy. Fu Yixiao’s fall might have been because she had stumbled upon the secret dealings between the two nations. Just then, Xia Jingshi, Prince Zhennan of Jinxiu, arrived on a mission to arrange a marriage alliance. But he and Yixiao had once been lovers, each devoted to the other. Now he was to marry Feng Suige’s younger sister, Princess Xiyang, while the woman he had once cherished remained by the side of his mortal enemy, Feng Suige... Those who move the pieces are also pieces in the game. How can they break free from the shackles of fate?
