Spiritual Veins Break the Evil City

Chen Fan and Lin Wanqiu stand before the Spirit Vein Awakening Apparatus, staring at the red words “Spirit Veins Shattered” on the screen. An examiner's sneer rings in their ears: “Trash like you should get out of the Martial Arts University.”

A hundred years after spiritual qi revival began on Blue Star, the Demon City has long since become a shadowy place infested with evil spirits. The sewers conceal spirit-devouring parasites, and deadly ghostly shadows drift through office towers. Only those who awaken spirit veins can wield martial arts against the supernatural. Chen Fan was born with useless spirit veins, but on the brink of death, he activates an ancestral jade pendant and awakens “Evil-Breaking Spirit Veins,” which let him devour the power of evil spirits and turn it into strength. Lin Wanqiu, meanwhile, unexpectedly binds herself to the “Spirit Vein Compendium System,” which can analyze the weaknesses of every strange and sinister creature in the world.

When the blood moon hangs over the city and a thousand-year-old Corpse King breaks free of its seal, ancient martial arts clans scramble to seize the spirit vein core, while the official supernatural task force suffers defeat after defeat. These young people, dismissed as worthless, wield an evil-slaying blade and carry the System's compendium. They fight their way from campus to the underground city, tearing through the darkness shrouding the metropolis with a fearless defiance: “With mortal veins, we slay the chosen; with frail bodies, we break evil gods!”

It turns out the key to protecting the spirit veins has never been extraordinary talent, but the courage to fight evil spirits to the bitter end!
