From the Start, America Is All About Taking Down the Japanese

A bizarre electromagnetic storm hurls the modern special operations company "Blade," in the middle of a live-fire exercise, back to the Pacific theater in 1942, personnel and equipment alike. Forced to land on an isolated island controlled by the Japanese, they suddenly face off against the enemies of history.

Taking advantage of their superior equipment, Blade makes an early impression: night-vision goggles become the Japanese soldiers' nightmare, while precise sniping takes out enemy commanders from over a thousand meters away. Forced to ally with skeptical American forces, they are deployed under the codename "Dragon Unit" to blood-soaked crucibles such as Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

But then the missiles fail, communications are cut, and ammunition runs low. They must carve a path through the desperate battlefield with empty rifles and dulled tactical knives, relying on the unbreakable will of men from the future. They are lost souls fighting to survive, and nameless heroes whose blood forges victory. When final triumph comes, they stand amid the glory of history, only to face the eternal uncertainty of never being able to return home. This is the iron-blooded legend of a band of warriors from beyond time, who wrote their story on the Pacific battlefield with the most advanced tactics and the most primitive courage.
