The Martial Venerable Protects the City

Xiao Zhan and Lin Ruoxi were both “nobodies” in Qingyang City. He was a former martial arts prodigy whose meridians had been damaged, scraping by on odd jobs and unable to perform even basic boxing techniques properly. She was an apprentice at a clinic who had been told she would never be able to practice martial arts, and could only survive under the Martial Alliance’s protection in a city overrun by dark martial artists.

Then dark fog shrouded the entire city, and the S-rank dark martial artist Blood Shadow smashed through the protective wall. At the brink of death, the dormant “Dominant Body Martial Meridian” within Xiao Zhan suddenly awakened, and he shattered the dark martial artist’s protective aura with a single punch. Lin Ruoxi grasped her ancestral “Pure Heart Jade” and awakened her healing meridian, dispelling the dark fog with a single palm strike.

The “discarded children” made a stunning comeback overnight, only to discover a greater conspiracy behind the dark fog: a dark altar lay beneath Qingyang City, and even the Martial Alliance’s top brass were secretly feeding human martial meridians to dark creatures! “I’ll shatter the darkness with my Dominant Body, and you’ll protect the people with your healing power!” The two join forces to defend the city, fighting demons in the streets and venturing deep into the altar. With the power of their martial meridians, they tear through the darkness and become Qingyang City’s renowned “Twin Martial Venerables”!
