City of Eternal Day: Trading Emotions

In the City of Eternal Day, a place utterly divided between light and darkness, memories and emotions can be extracted, preserved, and traded as commodities.

Along the line between dawn and dusk, Ling Su, an amnesiac memory-restoration specialist, makes a living by interpreting and repairing shattered “mind crystals.” His greatest wish is simply to recover his blank past. But an ordinary restoration job implants a terrifying memory from a hellish laboratory into his mind, a memory that belongs to no one.

Overnight, he goes from an overlooked specialist to the top target of the tech giant Source One Group. A cold-blooded assassin, the mysterious queen of the Evernight black market, and an idealistic resistance group: each faction pulls him into the heart of the storm, each with its own agenda.

To stay alive, and to uncover the connection between himself and the implanted memory, Ling Su is forced onto a perilous path against the entire world. He must infiltrate a neon-lit city of sin, find allies amid lies and betrayal, and piece together the inhumane truth behind mind-crystal technology through one deadly confrontation after another.

When memories can be altered and emotions stripped away, who is he? When pain is defined as evil and pleasure becomes a tool of control, where does the value of humanity lie?

He thought he was searching for his past, but he discovers that he is the only key to ending this era. In the embers of that forgotten memory, what will burn: hope, or destruction?
