Grandpa's Old Days

Lin Yan, a boy from Qingyang City, is widely known as a good-for-nothing cultivator. He has been stuck at the lowest stage, Qi Condensation, for three years. After his only relative, his grandfather, passes away, Lin Yan sorts through his belongings and discovers that a worn, polished wooden box contains half of a bronze fragment covered in ancient markings.

The moment his fingertips touch the fragment, an aged voice booms inside his mind. It is the lingering soul of his grandfather, Lin Cang! His grandfather was once a supreme alchemist who shook the continent, but after being betrayed by an ally, he sealed away his memories and cultivation and went into seclusion in this small city. The bronze fragment is a piece of his life-bound spiritual treasure, the Zhenyuan Cauldron.

With his grandfather's soul restored, Lin Yan receives his personal instruction in the Azure Origin Alchemy Scripture. His useless spiritual roots can even absorb the power of pills and transform it into an innate spiritual body. He refines top-grade pills to trade for resources, uses the cauldron's markings to break formations, and seizes inheritances in secret realms. As Lin Yan makes one stunning comeback after another, the truth behind his grandfather's betrayal is gradually revealed.
