The Legend of Cheng Yaojin

In the chaotic final years of the Sui dynasty, beacons of war blaze across the land, and heroes and outlaws rise amid the broken realm. Among this tumult of outstanding men, Cheng Yaojin blazes an absurd yet astounding path to kingship with his singular recklessness and astonishing luck. He is neither a strategist who anticipates every move nor a graceful nobleman, but a “Demon King of the Turbulent World,” armed with three battle-axes and born of the common streets.

As guileless as he is foolish, he somehow keeps stumbling into success. Blessed by fortune, he always escapes disaster when all seems lost. From a bandit who robs imperial tribute to a marshal of Wagang Stronghold, and finally a meritorious official honored in the Lingyan Pavilion, his life is one enormous accident, yet also a song of heartfelt sincerity. His legend lies not in grand strategy, but in the loyalty and innocence that never leave him. In an age woven from schemes and bloodshed, Cheng Yaojin uses his seemingly muddleheaded wisdom and steadfast, childlike heart to tell a heroic saga that is both grounded and deeply heartwarming.
