Compassionate Salvation: The Legend of Guanyin Bodhisattva

Based on the legends and teachings of Guanyin Bodhisattva in Buddhist classics, this epic-length novel portrays her compassionate incarnations. The story begins with Guanyin's first vow to cultivate the path, and tells how, through countless eons of practice, she developed great compassion, vowed to deliver all suffering beings, and ultimately attained the exalted state of the Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin.

Across eighty chapters, the novel depicts Guanyin hearing the cries of those in distress and saving all living beings. Its moving stories include the Bodhisattva forming bonds with sentient beings, teaching disciples, manifesting miraculous powers, and averting disasters. It also incorporates the wisdom and teachings of Buddhist classics such as the Lotus Sutra, the Avatamsaka Sutra, and the Heart Sutra, conveying Guanyin's compassionate spirit of "answering every prayer wherever it is made" and the profound principle of "boundless loving-kindness for all, and great compassion that sees all beings as one."

This book is not only a work of fiction on a Buddhist theme, but also a hymn to compassion and wisdom. It aims to help readers understand the profound meaning of faith in Guanyin and experience the great power of Buddhist compassion.
