The Casebook

In the modern city of E, the independent investigation team Puzzle was formed to take on all kinds of mystery cases. Led by its mastermind, Zhou Wenhe, the team brings together people from a range of backgrounds, including a former police detective, a hacker, a forensic expert, a private investigator, an intelligence agent, and a lawyer. They push beyond their limits through collaboration, while both cooperating and competing with the official police.

The series ties its cases together into an intricate whole. The main plot focuses on a string of shocking unsolved cases and the chain of old crimes hidden behind them, along with the mysterious organization Prism. Meanwhile, the side stories feature ordinary people seeking help and portray the gray areas of society. As the storylines intertwine and advance, the team members gradually come to understand themselves and grow through their investigations, eventually uncovering the unspeakable truths lurking in the shadows of E City.
