Hurt My Sisters, and You Die!

In Year 23 of the New Era, humanity is divided by “genetic purity.” The Purification Bureau holds the power of life and death, eliminating anyone deemed a “genetic contaminant.” Once the Bureau’s most powerful enforcer, Li Zhan was forced to retire after suffering genetic damage. Now he hides at a remote border clinic, seeking only to protect the one thing he considers “clean”: Lin Wan, a military doctor with an S-rank genetic rating.

Then the “Contaminant Rebels” raid the clinic and abduct Lin Wan. Li Zhan’s dormant combat chip reboots, and he storms alone into the abandoned space station where the rebels have made their base. Laser fire tears through the vacuum, his mechanical limbs crush the wreckage, and amid the streams of data and gun smoke, he roars, “Anyone who dares defy the order dies!”

But when he blows open the alloy door to the cell, he finds Lin Wan standing amid the rebels’ corpses, blue light flowing from her fingertips as she rewrites genetic sequences. She toys with the rebel leader’s mechanical head, then turns with a bright-eyed smile. “I’ve waited so long for you, my enforcer.” It turns out that so-called “purity” was the most ruthless disguise of all.
