Your Kindness Once Lit Up My Rebellious Heart

Rebellious rich kid Jiang Chen careens through his aimless youth until Lin Wei, a gentle and resilient college student, becomes his tutor. She warms his loneliness with little acts of kindness and softens his rebellious streak with patience, bringing a glimmer of light to his barren world. Just as he opens his heart and they make plans for the future, Lin Wei quietly leaves after a family upheaval, leaving behind only a flimsy note. Jiang Chen buries his longing and takes her as his guiding light, pushing himself to grow until he transforms from a troubled boy into an outstanding teacher. After searching for her for half a lifetime, he discovers the truth in an unsent journal, only to receive a farewell that comes too late. This salvation, and regret, spanning the years ultimately becomes the foundation of his faith in teaching, allowing his kindness to live on in every rebellious young heart.
