A Glimmer of Summer

Set on a modern university campus steeped in artistic atmosphere, this story blends the everyday experiences of youth with growing up and chasing dreams. University B is one of the country's top arts colleges. A boulevard lined with plane trees runs between its north and south campuses, practice rooms in the arts building stay lit all night, performance posters from the music club cover the bulletin boards, and students can often be heard discussing composition techniques and stage design in the cafeteria. The old streets outside campus hide niche record shops and independent bookstores, wellsprings of creative inspiration for students after class. Here, the fervor of "staying up late to revise a piece" mingles with the confusion of "the gap between dreams and reality": some give up their band dreams to secure a place in graduate school, while others take commercial commissions to keep creating. The story of the protagonist, Shen Yan, unfolds where "pursuing music under a hidden identity" intertwines with "facing the emotions within."
