After Losing My Memory, I Helped My Family Defy Fate

When Chen Lei wakes up in the hospital, he has lost all his memories and his right leg is encased in a heavy cast. All that remains in his mind is the suffocating feeling of plunging into a river three years ago. A photograph of an unfamiliar woman on his bedside table and the nurse calling her “your wife” leave him bewildered. When he returns to his rented apartment, he discovers that his “wife,” Lin Xiuya, was left paralyzed by the “accident” he had years ago. Their home is buried in debt, and a creditor even shows up threatening to take his younger sister as payment. In the depths of despair, he unexpectedly finds the Mysterious Truth Compendium left behind by his grandfather, which lets him draw talismans that ward off evil, stop bleeding, and attract wealth. Using the manual, he helps Lin Xiuya recover from her leg injury and pays off their debts, while also investigating the truth behind his fall into the river. In the end, he exposes the plot of his childhood friend Lin Hao, leads his family out of desperation, and finds his life again through love and responsibility.
