Reborn in 1975: A Train Policeman’s Rise to Power in Beijing

Lu Chunming, a decorated soldier who once dominated the battlefield in his previous life, is unexpectedly reborn as a railway police officer on the Shanghai-Beijing line in 1973. The green trains are full of all kinds of people, with pickpockets running rampant and smuggling rife. Using his special forces skills, he solves one bizarre case after another and meets Lin Wanqing, a bright and resilient woman whose family background limits her prospects. From escorting urgent supplies through the Gobi Desert to going undercover to take down criminal gangs, and from protecting passengers to driving improvements in railway safety, he holds fast to his principles amid the tides of the times. Together, the two overcome the strain of being separated and the rumors and gossip around them. As they witness the nation’s transformation along the railway lines, they write a stirring legend of a railway police officer and a scholar, bound by duty and love.
