The Real Hu Junbo in the Mist

The story takes place in Jingcheng, a provincial-level city on the southern coast. Beneath the city’s rapid modernization, unsolved criminal cases abound, leaving both the police and public opinion in a difficult position. Five people, each unable to fit into normal society because of their past, are invited one after another to form a private investigative team called the Jing Investigation Group. They investigate major cases involving murder, disappearances, finance, and society’s dark side, confronting criminals while uncovering one another’s closely guarded secrets. Each volume focuses on a major case and several character arcs. The cases are intricately connected, gradually clearing the deepest fog surrounding the city and the human heart.
