The Azure Dragon Order of Guanzhong

In the early years of the Southern Song, the Jin army’s iron hooves trampled across Guanzhong, leaving the people homeless and displaced. A mysterious organization called the Azure Dragon Order quietly rose to prominence. Its two hundred whirlwind warriors darted through the battlefield like ghosts, raiding Jin camps, assassinating enemy commanders, and intercepting supply wagons. They repeatedly rescued resistance forces and fought alongside government troops. They came and went without a trace, leaving Wanyan Loushi, commander of the Jin army’s western route, helpless. They became a thorn in the Jin army’s side.

But a traitor’s betrayal shattered the balance. Qin Tianfeng, leader of the Azure Dragon Order, was ambushed and struck by an arrow. As he lay at death’s door, he was rescued by the couple Shi Jin and Liang Qinglian. With his last breath, Qin Tianfeng entrusted Shi Jin with the Azure Dragon token, a symbol of their mission, and charged him to carry on the fight against the Jin.

Taking up the token, Shi Jin shouldered the hopes of the Azure Dragon Order and the safety of the people of Guanzhong. He inherited the Order’s elusive methods of warfare and led his forces in continuing to match wits with Wanyan Loushi. Amid flashing blades, he carried their legend forward, vowing to drive the Jin army out of Guanzhong once and for all and keep the land safe and at peace.
