Uncle Nine: Senior Brothers, You Can Practice Daoism. I'll Just Cultivate Immortality

[Uncle Jiu + zombies + ghosts and monsters + cultivation + System + reborn + plot + comedy] In the Age of Declining Dharma, spiritual energy is running dry and the path to immortality is cut off? No. I, Wei Yi, will defy heaven itself! I spent ten years as a good-for-nothing on Maoshan, enduring endless scorn. Even a junior brother who’d only been there three years could chase me all around the training ground with a peachwood sword. The eldest senior brother Shi Jian’s sneers, my fellow disciples’ mockery, and the sympathy my senior brother Lin Jiu could never quite bring himself to voice… I’d had enough! I tore off my Taoist robe, went down the mountain, and swore to cultivate immortality! I’d barely taken my first step down the mountain when the “End-of-Dharma Immortal Cultivation System” showed up! Three years of surviving in the wilderness, sleeping rough and eating whatever I could find. Getting struck by lightning or burned by fire was all in a day’s work. At last, my cultivation rose from mortal to Foundation Establishment. With only two merit points to my name and nothing but tattered clothes, I emerged from the wilderness. The world had changed. Demons and monsters ran rampant, and my fellow Maoshan disciples had all gone out to train. And Senior Brother Lin Jiu, who had once been so gentle, had become the widely revered “Uncle Jiu” in Ren Family Town. His magic had even advanced to the late Mage stage! Then something even more absurd happened: In his eyes, my genuine Foundation Establishment cultivation still made me the same good-for-nothing who’d been stuck at the second level of early Qi Condensation ten years ago?! They couldn’t even sense the immortality I’d worked so hard to cultivate?! And my dear nephew Qiusheng still dared to look down on me? Fine, then. I’ll use the most basic Maoshan staff technique to knock you flat on your butt in three moves! Uncle Jiu was stunned. He looked at me as if I were a monster. “Junior Brother Wei, the aura inside you… is very strange…” Of course it’s strange! I’m following the path to immortality that you all lost long ago! Senior Brothers, you can keep practicing your Taoist arts. I’ll be the first to walk this road to heaven!
