Under the Sky Screen: Jiajia's Romance Across Time

Under the Sky Screen: Jia Jia’s Journey Through Time tells the story of Jia Jia, a modern girl who accidentally connects with a sky screen that spans time and space, embarking on a fantastical journey to help advance ancient civilization. From the silk workshops of the Southern Song dynasty to the great urban centers of the Yuan dynasty, from the Maritime Silk Road of the Ming dynasty to the prosperous reigns of the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors in the Qing dynasty, she uses modern knowledge transmitted through the sky screen to leave a lasting mark on people’s livelihoods, science and technology, culture, and military affairs. She improves farming tools to increase grain yields, teaches weaving techniques to boost handicrafts, advances medical practices to protect people’s health, and promotes exchanges between China and other countries to foster mutual understanding between civilizations. As she travels through time again and again, Jia Jia not only witnesses the rise and fall of dynasties and the changes of the ages, but also finds her own purpose in the collision between past and present, forming deep bonds with historical figures along the way. Blending history, science fiction, and warmth, this story shows how one person’s wisdom can illuminate civilization across the vast expanse of time and space.
