Fate's Frontier: Shadow Walker from the Start

Before Captain Xia Cheng breathed his last, he shoved his bloodstained “Starfall” account card and his sharp-tongued younger sister Xia Tian into Shen Feng’s arms. “Keep an eye on her. Don’t let her go too far!” That very night, Shen Feng used a lousy wooden club from the starting village in Fate’s Frontier to pierce the throat of a swamp boss. The livestream recording went viral, and the ID [Shadow of Death] set the whole server ablaze. [Summer Solstice of the Fallen], guild leader of [Glory of Starfall], flooded his screen with a pop-up: “Get over here and work for me. Now!” Seeing the glaring “Fallen” at the end of her ID, Shen Feng silently clicked Accept. From then on, [Glory of Starfall] had a new monster: Starting village? He made a specialty of striking monsters’ hidden weak points, landing critical hits with every blow! Dungeons? He swept up hidden dungeons and first-clear records alike! Nation-versus-nation battles? He was the ghostly blade that tore through enemy lines! Then the insect tide devoured the Empire State Building in New York, and the game invaded reality. At Shen Feng’s home, his game pod suddenly opened. His virtual wife crawled out, wrapped in a sterile cloth. “My lord, this place is terribly noisy.” Xia Tian pressed her gun to the woman’s temple. “You cheating scumbag! You even knocked up a stream of data?!” And when the final battle arrived, the world-ending insect queen unleashed on Xia Tian the very finishing move Xia Cheng had perfected before his death. From a dagger-wielding assassin to a ghostly savior, Shen Feng gripped his twin blades and plunged into an apocalyptic battlefield of shattered code and flesh. This time, he would protect more than Xia Tian’s life. He would also protect the “her” who had crawled out of the sea of data.
