Sniper in Dire Straits: The Gaming Big Shot Who Always Corners Me

Who could have guessed that all of Valorant streamer Ling Wan's (ID: Zero) career "black marks" would trace back to the same man?

In Delta Force, Judge stole her top-tier supply crate and ended her winning streak. In Valorant, Judge knifed her during an eco round to humiliate her, then typed "Package delivered" in all chat. In Sky: Children of the Light, Judge lured a krill into knocking off her wing, then turned around and became her recharge buddy. Even in Eggy Party's couples' race, Judge knocked her into the lava and then dragged her off to dance with a pink Eggy!

Ling Wan slammed her keyboard and swore, "Jiang Yan, I'm going to fight you to the bitter end for the rest of my life!"

But the captain of a certain team only smiled, blocking her at a Delta Force extraction point and offering her a rose-gold crest. "You've been chasing me this long. Don't you want a token of our love?"

It wasn't until a mural of her championship win three years ago lit up in Sky's Vault of Knowledge, and Jiang Yan suddenly lowered his gun while defusing the spike at low health in the Valorant semifinals, that Ling Wan finally understood. "I'll give you 13 points in exchange for a date?"

This man hadn't been trying to "kill" her at all.

When she made a mistake that brought down Black Hawk, he took the blame for her. He pieced together a path to redemption through four different games to help her face the past she'd been running from.

While other teams queued together to climb the ranks, the two of them queued together to sabotage each other and sneak in sweet moments. In Eggy Party, she knocked him into a maze, and he led her to the finish line, shouting, "You're my silly girl!" During a two-player quest in Sky, he held her hand as they flew through a screenful of fireworks on the Valley racecourse. Even at the World Finals, he deliberately fired wide and let her win, all for her to say, "Dye your Eggy pink and give it rosy cheeks."

As Jiang Yan slipped the ring onto her finger, he couldn't resist falling back on his old ways: "Let's get right to it. Spend the rest of your life 'hunting' me."

Ling Wan raised an eyebrow and caught his wrist. "First, hand over your Sky account."
