Fragrant Entanglement on an Ashen Night

At the end of an imaginary dynasty where rites and music have fallen into ruin, the “Merciful Quiet Hall” appears charitable, but is in truth a den of corruption; the “Wutong Retreat” is beautiful on the outside, but a prison that shackles the soul. Jiang Wan, a killer raised by Abbess Jingchen, is like a poison-coated blade: unstable, obsessive, and fiercely possessive. Xie Jin, a remnant of the previous dynasty held captive, burns like the fires of karmic retribution: calculating, brooding, and consumed by the need for control. When the poisonous flower enters the cage and illness first takes hold, they test, use, and scheme against each other, only to find themselves drawn together before they know it. A tale of all-consuming revenge and twisted bonds slowly unfolds amid darkness and intrigue. Are they poison to each other, or the only cure?
