Zero File: Scars of the Heart

In New Assyria, memories are commodities, emotions are currency, and happiness can be custom-made. The Equilibrium Council maintains the city’s false peace through memory-cleansing operations known as “Purification.”

Ling Zhou is a top-tier memory tuner living in the city’s lower levels. He believes money comes first, until he is forced to accept an impossible job: repairing the shattered forbidden memories in the mind of a mysterious “Blank” girl.

This memory is the key to the darkest secret surrounding the city’s founding.

When the Council’s most ruthless hound, “Night Owl,” picks up their trail, Ling Zhou’s rules for survival are shattered. During their escape, he dives into the depths of the girl’s fractured consciousness, only to find his own erased childhood and the silhouette of his father, lost in the dust of history.

Every memory repaired is an interrogation of the soul. Every mental link with the girl chips away at his icy exterior.

He must choose: remain a walking corpse, scraping by on lies, or ignite the spark of memory capable of burning down the entire false world, and give everything for a true dawn?
