The Ashes of Time Entropy

Kael, a time thief living in the lower-level Abyss District, is forced to undertake a dangerous time-theft operation to save his sister Ilara, who suffers from “time depletion syndrome.”

During the operation, he meets Lila, a member of the resistance group Mayfly from the upper-level Sky District. To obtain “primordial temporal entropy,” the only thing that can cure his sister, Kael strikes a deal with Lila and is drawn into Mayfly’s revolutionary plan to overthrow the rule of the Eternal Radiance Corporation. They endure a series of ordeals, including being hunted, infiltrating the Sky District, and witnessing the gulf between the classes.

During a brutal pursuit, Kael’s close friend Jax sacrifices himself to protect him. His friend’s death transforms Kael’s outlook. He changes from a thief fighting only for his family into a revolutionary seeking justice for his entire class. His trust in Lila deepens, and he resolves to carry out Mayfly’s final plan: storm the Temporal Entropy Spire and return all the stolen time to the people.

Kael and Lila successfully infiltrate the heart of the Temporal Entropy Spire and confront the ultimate antagonist, Silas, leader of the Eternal Radiance Corporation. Silas reveals his true purpose: using time to select an “elite” group capable of facing a future doomsday crisis. He tries to tempt Kael with his plan.

Kael rejects the offer and chooses to fight alongside Lila. At the last moment, he sacrifices himself by overloading the temporal entropy core, foiling Silas’s scheme and returning all the stolen time to every person in the city. His sister Ilara is cured, and the city welcomes an unknown new dawn free from the oppression of time. Kael’s fate remains a mystery, leaving the story open-ended.
