The Cage of Spirit Matter

In a futuristic city where emotions are quantified into an energy source called spiritual essence, two worlds exist: the upper world is Sky Dome City, which consumes pure spiritual essence and enjoys absolute reason, while the lower world is the Turbid Flow, where emotions are extracted and people struggle amid chaos.

Ling Ye is Sky Dome City's sharpest blade, a Cleaner incapable of feeling any emotion, codenamed 9650. His mission is to eliminate all “emotionally unstable individuals” and maintain the System's absolute stability. His life should have been a straight line without a single ripple, until an unexpected mission. A surge of “pure joy” pierced his defenses and planted a dangerous seed called “feeling” in his lifeless heart.

A System malfunction? Or the first stirrings of humanity?

Seeking answers, he enters a forbidden zone and meets a red-eyed girl who can “resonate” with emotions. As layers of lies are peeled away, he discovers that his very existence is part of a vast conspiracy. When Sky Dome City decides to carry out a final “emotional purge” of all humanity, erasing the feelings deemed forbidden, this once emotionless man must make a choice.

Will he return to cold perfection, or embrace humanity with all its pain?

This is a story about a machine rediscovering its heart and a prisoner breaking free of his cage. When the emotions of the entire world converge at a single point, will the resulting explosion bring destruction or rebirth?
