The Rules Out of Control

When ancient “rules” take physical form and artifacts from myths and legends descend upon the human world, this modern metropolis of steel and neon becomes a hunting ground where gods and mortals dance together.

Chen Mo makes a living running a “general services shop,” or so it seems. In truth, he is a “rule-artifact” hunter who operates outside official organizations. He doesn’t repair ordinary objects, but out-of-control “rule artifacts” that carry fragments of the world’s laws.

What seems like an ordinary job pulls him into a vast conspiracy engulfing the entire city of Tianqiong. A die that can “steal” other people’s luck, a camera that can “rewrite” memories, a scale that enforces “equivalent exchange”... As one bizarre “rule artifact” after another comes to light, so too does a mysterious organization bent on overthrowing the world order.

In this game of pursuit and escape, Chen Mo’s only advantage is his seemingly useless yet utterly unique “rule artifact”: the [Pen of Truth].

When lies are dressed up as truth and rules can be changed at will, he will use the pen in his hand to tear through the facade and write down the one and only truth.
