Twin Heroines' Scheme: A Battle Between Legitimate and Concubine-Born Sisters, Past and Present

Modern financial analyst Lin Wantang transmigrates into the body of Su Yingxue, an illegitimate daughter of the Minister of Works’ household. The moment she wakes, her stepmother’s trusted maid shoves her into a lotus pond. Armed with modern workplace savvy, she carefully navigates the sprawling mansion and its rigid hierarchy. Using her business acumen, she opens the Yingxue Pavilion, starting with a cosmetics business. She masters the ways of commerce in the ancient world, develops new products, establishes a merchants’ alliance, expands trade routes to the frontier, and even takes her business overseas.

She goes from distrust to cooperation with her elder half-sister Su Wanyue, gentle on the surface but sharp beneath. While uncovering the truth behind their birth mother’s death, she unexpectedly discovers that she is descended from the legitimate line of the Marquis of Dingbei’s household. The two women support each other through household rivalries, political intrigue, and the expansion of trade routes, breaking through the rigid conventions that distinguish legitimate from illegitimate daughters. Wielding modern logic like a blade, Lin Wantang weaves a vast network across the ancient world’s business circles, political arena, and inner chambers. Her intelligence shines in the depths of the mansion, bringing to life a legend of two remarkable women who break the deadlock and rewrite their fates.
