The Hourglass Trail Runs Backward

In the flames engulfing Shahe Town, Su Han awakens the Eye of Reversed Time, only to become an experimental subject known as the Council’s “Child of Time.” His blood is the key to the divine core, and every use of his power accelerates his sand-like aging. The silver-haired mechanical girl Luo Li arrives through a rift in space and time. The hourglass-shaped light on her back resonates with him. She is a fragment of the god’s humanity, as well as a “time anchor” created by the Council. Together, they awaken the sand puppet left behind by Su Han’s father in the mechanical sand cemetery. At Gear Fortress, they expose the enslavement scam behind the “lifespan hourglass,” but in the heart of the time sand, they uncover a cruel truth: those who reverse time are antibodies created by the god, while the god’s fragments embody its longing for change. As the Star Track cruiser’s extraction cannon tears through space and time, the two-faced conspiracy between the Order of the Void and the Council comes to light. A surviving page from the Library of the Dead reveals their parents’ final words: the resonance between gears and grains of sand will shatter the god’s hourglass. The Eye of Reversed Time resonates with the hourglass core, reversing the hourglass at Gear Fortress and bringing the ruins of the steam-powered sand city back to life. Su Han grips Luo Li’s gradually fading hand and finally understands: the answer to time lies not in stopping it, but in the courage to flow against it. Even if sand-like marks cover his face by the age of thirty, he will make their twin powers of reversed time the first ray of light to pierce eternity.
