Mystery and Romance in Shanghai

Shanghai in 1933: neon lights flash and traffic floods the streets. Known as the Paris of the East, the city is a playground for adventurers and a breeding ground for crime. Opium smoke drifts through the air, dance halls ring with music, and gangsters, spies, and businessmen mingle together, creating a world of glittering chaos unique to this turbulent era.

Against this backdrop, one name keeps appearing at the edges of the cases: Shen Yan. An unconventional detective, Shen Yan is tall and slender, with a lean face. He always carries an ebony pipe, though he rarely smokes. His eyes are as sharp as an eagle's, and he can always catch a glimpse of the truth amid a tangle of clues. He once served as a criminal consultant for the French Concession police, but angrily resigned after an unsolved massacre. He now works as a private detective, taking on all kinds of bizarre cases.
